So still nothing new going on. I finally got my financial aid situated. They credited my credit card for the entire amount. So, I'm paid up for a while. I guess that means Christmas is taken care of. Why couldn't they have just cut me a check? Jeez.

This thanksgiving we are having dinner at a park that's about an hour away. Now we have to figure out how to get 4 pies there without getting them all over the place. I hope that K-mart has some pie plates with tops or something.

I also need a new watch. I was thinking recently that I needed a new one because mine was pretty banged up. It served me well, but it was time to start looking for a replacement. Then the battery went dead. I guess I offended it. So now I have to get one soon. So much for having time to find the perfect replacement.

Nothing is going on right now, I'm the most boring person in the world. Well I suppose that there may be someone more boring than me but it doesn't seem like it. Not that I'm bored, I am just boring. There is a difference. I registered for classes for next semester, of course I still haven't gotten all of my money back for the classes I'm taking now. And it's nearly impossible to get anyone to help me with that. Blah, I don't mind CFCC so much, I just hate that they are so slow about everything. But the academic advisors are very good, I wouldn't be taking classes right now if they were very good, or if they didn't care.

Talked to Jenn--she's in Navy bootcamp, she hates it, they are more strict and she has to spend all her time with a bunch of girls, and I think it's starting to make her crazy. And she's sick, has pneumonia and they aren't even making her stay in bed. Isn't that the normal treatment? Anyway other than all that she sounded okay, at least she seemed to think things would be better after bootcamp, once she's started A-school--or whatever you call it.

Talked to Lori, she's going to be re-doing the pool room, a surprise for her husband while he's out huntin'. So I'm going to go help her out. It sounds like it will be fun, a couple days where she won't be worried about classes. It's so wierd with her being married. She's working and has classes, so I try not to bug her too much because I knew she's really busy right now and I know if I called her she would stop what she was doing just to talk, and since I don't have anything new going on I didn't want to waste her time.

So that's it. See, I told you it was boring.

Oh, and today in speech class (we're giving persuasive speeches) I had to sit and listen to a guy who said there was no evidence for the theory of evolution. It's all a lie. Creationism is the truth, even though he didn't offer any proof of it other than the bible. I didn't say anything but I really really wanted to. First of all there is proof, carbon dating and fossils and the lot as well as that primordial soup experiment. As for his theory about how the population of the world wasn't enough given the population growth estimates unless you determined that Noah's ark really happened and then the population growth numbers add up---well their are population growth caps, like space, food, shelter, water, disease--they slow population growth when the population can't be supported. And that's just the stuff I know off the top of my head. And, as for the bible, a book written thousands of years after the fact really shouldn't be taken as fact either. And yes it's just a theory. It's not a religion. Niether is creationism--it's a theory, a theory based on a religion. So you're right we don't know if it's really the way things happened. It is just a theory. But so is the Pythagorean Theorem. Get it? Theorem--theory. But you don't go around telling your math teacher about how you can't really say it's fact.
AND. Why is it that a little of both can't be true? Why does it have to be a war. Why do you have to go around speading this ignorant crap? I mean who said God (the omnipotent one) didn't cause the big bang? We've all heard that those 6 days could have actually been millions of years, or something like that, I'm pretty sure it's in the bible--you look it up. Anyway who said that during those 6 days that whole primoridal soup stuff wasn't going on? Who said that rather than plopping Adam down on Earth he didn't instead allow him to evolve into man, and when he was finished making man he didn't start with whatever was supposed to have come next. Jesus people, if God is really as omnipotent as you think he is why don't you give him a little more credit!

Yeah, that's it.
